Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026.

2. Nativity & Residency

  • Candidates must be natives of Tamil Nadu and possess a valid Nativity Certificate from a competent authority.
  • Candidates from other states who completed standard 6th to 12th in Tamil Nadu will be treated under the Open Category (OC).

3. Academic Qualifications

  • Language Requirement: Candidates must have studied Tamil as their first language.
  • Subject Streams:
    • 65% of seats are reserved for students from the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany/Zoology).
    • 25% of seats are allocated to Vocational Nursing or Foundation Science fields.

Tuition Fees

  • Government Colleges: Selected students receive monthly stipends rather than paying high tuition fees. Hostel stay is compulsory, and students must pay regular mess/amenity charges.
  • Self-Financing Colleges (Government Quota): Fixed at ₹35,000 per annum (excluding hostel, mess, and transport charges).
